Cold Brew Tips

Stop paying six dollars for a cup of ice with a splash of coffee. Let me give you tips how to make a week’s worth of better cold brew for the same price.

If your homemade cold brew tastes like cardboard, it’s probably one of two things: Your beans are old, or your ratio is off. Let’s fix it

I use Emotive Coffee’s Phrygian for dark roast or Dorian for medium roast. Not just because it's fresh roasted. Because both are medium acidity and have notes of chocolate. Cold brew makes that chocolate pop!

I do a 1:4 ratio. Using coarse ground beans(about the consistency of sea salt).

Give it a gentle stir. You want to make sure every single ground is saturated so you get that full, symphonic extraction. Now the hard part (waiting) brew for 18-24 hours in your fridge. Then add ice and whatever flavor you love. I recommend Chobani creamers for cold brew. Simple science, better coffee.

PRO TIP: to keep your coffee from tasting diluted and losing flavor use ice cubes made with coffee(obviously the same coffee as your cold brew) instead of water!

                                          Enjoy!!
